What to Expect on the Day of Liposuction Surgery?

Liposuction is a procedure designed to target and remove localized fat. Liposuction is able to sculpt the body and help create a more flattering silhouette. Dr. Golger or Dr. Romy begin with injecting a saline (saltwater) solution to the treatment area along with a local anesthetic and agents to help reduce bruising. They then create a tiny incision used to insert a narrow cannula that will loosen the fat layer and vacuum it out. The duration of the procedure will depend on the amount of fat being eliminated, the treatment area size, the type of anesthesia, and the technique used. Liposuction Recovery

Upon completion of your liposuction procedure, your plastic surgeon will place a few small sutures where needed and cover your incisions with protective tape.
